Some places are so special that we really don't want to tell other people about them. Perhaps less visitors will help keep them pristine and undisturbed. Amazingly, in our 10 years of RV-ing, this is one of the places that hasn't changed very much. Except for the campground. It is my favorite place to hike. The colors are unbelievable and it is all sandstone; petrified sand dunes. Enjoy a glimpse into a spot that shall remain nameless... unless you've been there. Then you call it a special favorite.
I love those delicate flowers. They survive in that place -- how can they look so gentle, and be so strong?
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous place, and what gorgeous photos! <3 Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeletePam, it's almost as though you set me up to say that our lives are much like those of the flowers. We're also shaped by harsh environments and are stronger and perhaps more gentle as well when we've conquered them (:
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Taylor... thanks so much for letting me know you're out there ;)
<3 No problem. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing story. My husband and I bought a 31 foot drive camper three years ago. I'm 46 and he is 48. We had great plans to travel. Then, I lost my job last year and my husband is in construction. Thing have been tough. If we had the money today, our bags would be packed and we would be on the road. Your story is an inspiration to me. Thanks for adding my wreath to your wonderful treasury. Take care!
